RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav suffered a minor injury when a ceiling fan fell on his hand while he was on stage for an election meeting in Bihar’s East Champaran district today.

Yadav was sipping tea on stage while a speaker was delivering his speech at the poll rally when the mishap occurred.

He had pointed out to the organisers that the fan was rotating dangerously and before anything could be done, it fell on his right hand, spilling the tea.

Later, addressing the meeting, Prasad came down heavily on the organisers and the electrician for improper arrangements.

He jokingly told the crowd that he enjoyed the blessings of Goddess Sherawali and hence no harm could happen to him.
