M Gayatri of the New Green Field School in Saket, New Delhi, has scored the highest marks in the CBSE Class 12 exams this year, according to reports so far. She scored a total of 496 out of 500 (99.2%) in her five subjects. Mythili Mishra from Amity International School, Noida, has scored 495 out of 500.
Following the announcement of results, it was revealed that girls have once again outperformed the boys with a pass percentage of 87.56, while the boys scored a distant 77.77%. The overall pass percentage this year is 82%. Last year it was a shade better at 82.70%.

There were challenges along his path as a disabled student, but Sumit’s optimistic parents and younger brother encouraged him to keep working hard. The school Principal and teachers from Lakshmipat SInghania Academy in Kolkata, where Sumit studied, edged him to unearth his true potential and follow his dreams of studying hard and scoring well.
Sumit, who has been in a wheelchair since a very young age, is well on his way to fulfilling the dream of studying computer science by cracking the main JEE exams and next in line is the JEE Advanced.There is nothing that will stop him from doing what it takes to reach his destination.
Like many other students his age, he doesn’t want to be left behind in a career oriented world.

Gurwinder, from DAV school, Jalander secured the third position in all of India. He never went for private tuitions, relying only on classes and school teachers.
He also says that as he was sincerely focused on studies from class one, it was not difficult to do so for the board exams.
Among the states. the Thiruvananthapuram region registered the highest pass percentage at 95.41%.
As many as 10,29,874 students appeared for the exam this year, with 6,03,064 boys, and 4,26,810 girls.
