The Quint speaks to Congress' Lucknow candidate, Acharya Pramod Krishnan, in an interview as a part of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections trail. Commenting on his opponent BJP leader Rajnath Singh, Krishnan said, "I am not like the BJP. After asking for votes and forming government in the name of religion, they have forgotten religion. BJP has betrayed the nation."
Speaking on what he terms are BJP's lies, Krishnan says, "The Balakot airstrikes weren't conducted by Modi ji. They were done by our brave armed forces. They are doing politics in the name of Pakistan. When questioned about the Ram temple, and how Congress hasn't spoken about the issue, Krishnan said, "BJP has bad intentions. They don't want to build the temple in Ayodhya. If an ordinance had come, Congress wouldn't have opposed it."
