A government-run school in Baniyapur in Saran district of Bihar, has come up with a unique solution to tackle acute crisis of teachers and resources. Students of the Mishri Lal Dharmanath Prasad Higher Secondary school have divided classrooms and teachers, thus utilising resources more efficiently.
Girls come to the school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The rest of the three days are reserved for the boys.
The students however insist the 3-days-a-week schedule does not adversely affect their academics as the teachers ensure their syllabus is completed on time.
