Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jarnail Singh who is wanted by the police for thrashing a government engineer has reportedly gone missing, reports CNN-IBN.

Singh who is 42-years-old was recently elected to the state legislature from Tilak Nagar in West Delhi.

A case was registered against him last month for leading a mob who beat up an MCD engineer to prevent him from demolishing an illegal construction in Delhi.

According to NDTV, the junior engineer identified as Azhar Mustafa had filed a police case against Mr Singh. He has claimed that when Singh was shown documents authorizing the demolition, the politician tore them up.

However, Jarnail Singh had denied the engineer’s claim, saying that no notice had been served to the owner of the property.

AAP is yet to make any formal statement on the whereabouts of the MLA.
