By now, Punjab’s rising drug menace is well-known. A huge number of people have been hooked onto cocaine for years now, which is proving to be getting more and more expensive to satiate their addiction.

A new drug had made its way into the land of five rivers, through the Pathankot border. Akin to a candy, it’s selling for as low as Rs 5 or Rs 7. Just one of these drug-candies is enough to give the addict a high that lasts the entire day.

People are switching over to this new drug from more expensive ones like cocaine, so that they don’t need to resort to petty crimes and peddling to buy the more expensive stuff.
