In a major accident on the Mumbai-Pune Corridor Expressway, 17 people were killed and around 33 were left injured when a luxury bus rammed into two cars and then fell into a nearby ditch on Sunday morning. Among those killed are 13 men and 4 women.

The accident occurred when a bus coming from Satara collided with two cars, and then fell into a 20 feet ditch on the left side of the road. A Swift Desire car was standing on the road as the driver of the car was changing a punctured tyre, and an Innova stopped to help the driver.
