Xiaomi Slashes Prices of Redmi 2, Now Available for Rs 5,999
Xiaomi’s budget smartphone Redmi 2 gets a price cut of Rs 1,000.

Chinese tech company Xiaomi, which is known for making good smartphones and pricing them disruptively, has done it again.
They have slashed the prices of their popular budget smartphone, the Redmi 2, by Rs 1,000.
The phone is now available for a price tag of Rs 5,999 on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.
The phone sports a 4.7-inch 720 pixels HD IPS fully laminated display with AGC dragontrail glass. Redmi 2 is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, a 64-bit quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It comes with 8GB internal storage out of which 5.75GB is available to the user.
There is an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi Redmi 2 is powered by a 2,200 mAh battery.
