Xiaomi made a fitness wearable breakthrough with its Mi Band for less than Rs 1K last year and we expected things to get better with its sequel. In line with those expectations, comes the Mi Band Pulse and, as the name suggests, the wearable band is now equipped with a heart rate sensor.
Priced at $16 (Rs 975 approx), the Mi Band Pulse will only be available in China for now. Indian availability is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the sensor, the Mi Band Pulse has been given a facelift in terms of design and construction, making it comfortable to wear for long durations. Powered by a 45mAh battery, the Mi Band Pulse should last you for more than 20 days. This is less than its previous iteration because of the inclusion of a sensor.
The Mi Band Pulse works with the Mi Fit app that is applicable for phones running on Android 4.4 KitKat (or above) and iOS 7 (or later) for iPhone users. With this improvement, it’s fair to say that the Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse is the cheapest all-round wearable one can buy today.
