Xiaomi’s latest Redmi product to hit the Indian market is the Redmi Note Prime. Priced at Rs 8,499 the Redmi Note Prime will be sold in the country starting 15 December. Redmi Note Prime is Xiaomi’s second made-in-India product after the launch of the Redmi 2 Prime, priced at Rs 6,999, earlier this year.
Redmi Note Prime will compete with devices like Lenovo K3 Note that comes with a full-HD display, Yu Yureka Plus and Asus Zenfone 2 Laser among others. So what does the Redmi Note Prime offer in comparison to its predecessor? You get dual-SIM 4G connectivity, with quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and 16GB onboard storage but the rest is pretty much the same.
Xiaomi’s latest offering lags behind its competitors and therefore, the company will have to depend on consumer goodwill to make the Redmi Note Prime (HD-display laden) a success. You can buy it on Amazon and Xiaomi’s own Mi.com.
