Buyers of Google Pixel phone in India face an anxious wait to know where they are going to get their service support. We all know that the Google Pixel phone has been manufactured by HTC, so it was reasonable to assume that HTC would be taking care of any after-sales service of Google’s first high-end phone.
But as it turns out, HTC is yet to officially confirm with its consumers in the country. So, The Quint decided to go ahead and check with HTC’s PR team. Much to our surprise, they said HTC is not willing to comment on this aspect right now.
So, what happens to those who’ve bought Google’s premium Android phone? We really hope that HTC comes out publicly to offer its support services for the Pixel series. After all, nobody would want to face service hassles, that too after paying almost the same as for an Apple iPhone.
Google, at its Pixel launch event, had promised luxury service support – but that was limited to the US, UK and other parts of Europe. Leaving India out of the list could be a big deal-breaker for prospective Pixel phone buyers.
