When 10-year-old Mitchell Schibeci, aka the #WatermelonBoy, began eating a watermelon with its skin at a match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the commentators struggled to stay focused on the game. They took a break from match commentary for this kid who was gobbling his way through a watermelon effortlessly. Nothing really was left behind to go into the bin. See for yourself.

Based on the timeless Charles Dickens novel Great Expectations, Abhishek Kapur’s Fitoor revamps the story we have loved for decades, with Katrina and Aditya’s fresh on-screen jodi. From the film’s brand new trailer, it seems that the lead actors complement each other in a way we could never have imagined. #Jallikattu

On January 8, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan came bearing ‘good news’ that the Union Government had made arrangements for the bull-taming sport jallikattu to be conducted in Tamil Nadu. There was increasing pressure on the government to bypass the SC verdict banning the sport, and allow it to be conducted.

Legal experts and members of the Animal Welfare Board of India had been of the view that any move by the government challenging the SC order banning the sport could lead to serious legal implications.

Social media vehemently criticised the government for the decision.

Facebook was abuzz with Delhi’s #OddEven plan as it debuted on the streets in the first week of January. Most of the Quintees carpooled their way to work just like most of the city. Facebook addicts flooded their timelines with fake photographs from the most crowded metro stations in Delhi, only adding to the panic of Delhi’s daily commuters.

Facebook also reverberated with the earthquake that jolted Manipur earlier this week.
