Twitter’s New Design for Desktop Has an Upside-Down Feel to It
Twitter on desktop is getting a new design interface this week and people are a bit puzzled over the changes.

On Thursday morning this week, Twitter decided to surprise all of its desktop users with a new design interface.
And honestly, while there’s nothing wrong with the change, you do get an impression that the designers and coders just gave it an upside-down touch.
What do we mean by that? Well, for starters, the Tweet button has been pushed to the bottom end of the screen (as you can see above), while other sections like Who to Follow and Trending have moved from the left to right of the screen. Even the part where users check their profile has been moved to the right of the screen.
Twitter hasn’t clarified the reason for these subtle changes, but it’s surely another learning curve for the user, who was just getting used to recent changes on the mobile app. It is possible that Twitter is looking to bridge the gap between its interface on mobile and desktop.
We’ve seen mixed responses from Tweeple about the changes, with most of them satisfied, while some fail to understand the need to bring this supposedly ‘ugly’ change to the platform.
As you can see here, the send tweet button has gone above the part where you type out the content of the tweet. Also, the close option for the box has been strangely put to the left side of the screen.
We also noticed that the option to copy a tweet link has got another step, and you have to select embed tweet to get hold of the tweet’s URL.
Not sure if these changes were required, Twitter.
