Titan, in partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP) has made its smartwatch debut in India even before the arrival of the Samsung Gear S2.

The JUXT smartwatch, as per Titan, offers the right blend of a traditional analog watch with smart features. It works with Android (4.4 and above) smartphones and iPhone running on iOS 8 or later. Motorola has one of the well-crafted Android-running smartwatches with the Moto 360 (2015) right now and Titan (with help from HP) is hoping to change the position with its JUXT.

Titan has priced the JUXT smartwatch starting from Rs 15,995 going up to Rs 19,995 with three variants; titanium, stainless steel and the iPhone-famous rose gold on offer.

Titan is renowned for its classic time wear, but now that we’re in 2016, it is pivotal that they switch their attention towards the smartness. It may not compete with the Apple Watch or a Huawei Watch, however, it is fair to suggest that Moto 360 (2015), Samsung Gear S2 (soon to be launched) and the likes of FitBit Blaze fall into this segment. It will be interesting to see if a brand like Titan can set the ball rolling, where others are yet to find their feet.
