Elon Musk has publicly stated that Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, Facebook has limited knowledge about artificial intelligence, and the kind of impact it could have on humanity.

This is the first time when both bigwigs have spoken against each other, but Musk highlighting Zuckerberg’s limited sense of the subject, does come across as aggressive, which is definitely not going to go down well with the Facebook CEO.

If you’re wondering what has brought upon such a scathing statement from Musk, then you need to check out Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook Live from his backyard on Monday.

During the session, Zuckerberg had discreetly said that any warnings put against artificial intelligence (AI) are “pretty irresponsible”.

When asked by a user about Musk’s sighting AI as the biggest fear for the future, Zuckerberg had strong words to put his case down.

I have pretty strong opinions on this. I am optimistic. And I think people who are naysayers and try to drum up these doomsday scenarios — I just, I don’t understand it. It’s really negative and in some ways, I actually think it is pretty irresponsible.

What really bothered Zuckerberg about Musk was his recent statement on the power and capability of AI which concerns him, and asking the leaders of the world to put regulations in place for AI.

On the other hand, Zuckerberg paints a promising future with AI in it, helping humans in diagnosing diseases, and even help them drive cars safely. However, he puts in a word of caution, asking companies to act responsibly with the technology at large, design them and use them for the sake of the world.
