2. Xiaomi’s First Alexa-Enabled Smart Speaker Looks like Echo Dot

Xiaomi’s first smart speaker is here, and not only does it work with Amazon’s Alexa, but the brand has managed to equip it with Microsoft’s Cortana as well.

But more than the launch of the product, we’re intrigued by the design similarity of the Yeelight smart speaker with Amazon’s Echo Dot, which is already retailing in the market for Rs 3,400 (discounted prices in India right now).

3. Apple Sorry for Slowing Down Old iPhones, Cuts Battery Prices

Apple has admitted its mistake of slowing down old iPhones, and to show it means business, the Cupertino-based giant will roll out a new iOS update in January to make battery information transparent and reduce the price of replacement battery for out-of-warranty iPhones.

The company has also announced that out-of-warranty iPhone users can get replacement batteries in India by paying Rs 2,000 plus taxes, which is much less than what Apple dealers generally charge for an iPhone battery. The battery will be made available from late January, up until December 2018.

4. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 vs LG V30+ Camera: Which One’s Better?

Remember the Samsung Galaxy Note 8? Yes, the same one with a stylus and the big borderless screen? A couple of days ago, while I was using the Note 8, I learned that apart from being a workhorse, the phone also has an excellent camera at the back.

If you remember, I recently did a specs-to-specs comparison between the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the LG V30+, and back then, I had promised a camera comparison between the two.

5. 10.or (Tenor) D or Xiaomi Redmi 5A: Which One is Better?

Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A and Tenor D don’t have a lot in common, except the fact that you get both of them for under 7K.

10.or (or Tenor) is a brand that comes exclusively on Amazon in India and looks to take the fight to its established rivals like Xiaomi, which claims to have hit the top spot in the Indian smartphone market.

But targeting entry-level buyers for a smartphone is a different ball game, and with both Tenor and Xiaomi going head-to-head in terms of pure specs, we tell you which one has the upper hand.
