Well ok, a real life hoverboard may take some more time to build, but how about cars that can drive themselves and homes that can complete tasks before you even think of them?
How much RAM is too much RAM? The answer is there can never be too much. Chinese Internet company LeTV, which entered the smartphone space this year, is expected to launch a phone with 6GB of RAM. It’s hard to imagine what you’ll do with all that memory, but hey, excess RAM never hurts right? The Le Max 2, as rumours suggest, will be one of the next big things in the smartphone universe.
The Internet of Things is getting bigger by the day. While Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) all over the world present everything from smart bulbs to home security systems, they’re definitely going to focus more on this next year. Your phone will be connected to your smart home system, which will be connected to your TV, your speakers and lots more. Get ready to have truly futuristic homes where almost everything can be done by the click of a button!
Remember Jonny Quest? Yes, that animated series where an 11-year-old boy would enter a virtual reality environment to fight villains and solve life-threatening problems. Gadgets like the Oculus Rift, Sony Playstation VR and HTC Vive are bringing you closer to all of that. The HTC Vive literally allows you to walk around in a virtual environment. Imagine standing in some foreign land and exploring historical monuments without ever having to leave the comfort of your home.

Big automakers have been showcasing really smart systems that don’t let you crash your car even if you want to. Your car will turn on the air conditioning five minutes before you’re going to drive, so on a hot summer day, you have a pre-cooled car and don’t have to deal with a steaming steering wheel.
