No Price Changes for iPhone in India, Says Apple

Prices of all iPhones have been jacked up by Apple.

There were reports which strongly suggested that the price of Apple iPhone in India is set for a hike. However, after checking with Apple, we can refute those claims, and ensure that any iPhone buyer can do without feeling any further pinch on his/her pocket.

The company highlighted that the price mentioned in the dealer price list are the MRPs of the iPhone which isn’t the price at which they are sold in the market. Instead, you look for MOPs which is what the buyers end up splurging. 

In what seemed like a bizarre move, Apple in India was reported to have increased the price of iPhones in the country on Thursday. As mentioned in this report, Apple was said to have instructed its dealers to hike up the prices of iPhone by up to 12 percent.

Usually, we expect to hear reports of price drop on iPhone during this time of the year, but it felt strange to hear Apple jacking the prices up instead.

Now that we’ve managed to hear the truth from the horses mouth itself, one can be rest assured that the any new price revision from here on, will be good for people seeking to buy the 6 or 6S.

Apple is expected to unveil the next iPhone on 12 September, so hopefully, these prices will get taken care of before that.
