Shop for Cash Online, Get Rs 2,000 Delivered At Your Doorstep

If you’ve switched to swipe-and-pay or services like Paytm to meet your daily needs, then there’s some good news for you.

Now, you can shop online for cash, which will then be delivered to your doorstep within 24 hours.

After Ola and Grofers, Snapdeal has unveiled their cash delivery scheme, under which customers can now get their hands on hard cash without having to stand in serpentine queues.

Under Snapdeal’s ‘Cash@Home’ service, customers can order online to have Rs 2,000 in cash delivered at their choice of address. The service can be availed after paying a convenience fee of Re 1, which will need to be paid through FreeCharge or a debit card.

While the service is currently available only in Bengaluru and Gurugram, Snapdeal is expected to extend it to more cities in the coming days.

A user can request Rs 2,000 per booking and any bank’s ATM card can be used to pay for the cash. The customers are not obligated to order anything else from Snapdeal to access the ‘Cash@Home’ facility.

Retailers like Big Bazaar and Vodafone have also started similar initiatives.

The service is a goodwill gesture by Snapdeal to allow users to easily access cash without having to queue up at their bank or at the ATMs. Snapdeal will be using the cash that it receives through Cash on Delivery (CoD) to operate this facility.
