The Supreme Court on Thursday, 12 October, reportedly agreed to examine a plea seeking a regulatory regime to make public transport authorities, including app-based taxi services – like Ola and Uber – accountable for offence committed by vehicle drivers.
The apex court has asked the Centre to examine the issue and respond to how these services can be regulated.
According to reports, the hearing has been scheduled for 7 December.
