You must have heard a lot about virtual reality and what it offers with the help of supporting devices. There are companies like Oculus Rift, HTC and even Sony making their play in the VR game but Samsung is the first brand to offer its Gear VR headset in India, designed and created in partnership with Oculus.

Unlike the Google Cardboard VR headset which is the cheapest money can buy, Samsung Gear VR is in tune with the demands of the technology that goes beyond reality with the help of sound and lights and works as and when you move.

While the Cardboard is priced at anywhere between Rs 120 to Rs 300, the Samsung Gear VR will cost you over 8K, which is better than most VR headsets available, at least, in terms of the quality.

You can play games (customised to offer the VR experience) with the help of your phone that gets placed on the Gear VR. Samsung Gear VR works only with high-end Galaxy phones such as Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ for now.
