Finally, Samsung has a dual-camera phone for us. But, the even bigger headline is that the new Samsung Note 8 has been unveiled!
At a gala event in New York, the company’s chief DJ Koh took the wraps of it new flagship Note device the Galaxy Note 8, which has a lot of new features packed into it.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED infinity display that is similar to the one on the S8.
It’s running the latest Exynos 8895 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The US variant comes with a Snapdragon 835 chipset. The phone comes in multiple storage variants of 64, 128 and 256GB but the best part is that the memory is expandable.
It’s running on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with support from its own voice assistance AI Bixby.
Under the hood is a 3300mAh battery that supports wireless charging as well. The phone is IP68 water and dust resistant and also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Thank god!
The S-Pen also brings in a lot of new features to the Note 8.
The new Galaxy Note 8 also comes with an iris scanner and a fingerprint sensor. The phone also comes with a new feature called DeX where the device can be used as a full-fledged desktop computer just by docking it with monitor, keyboard and a mouse (something similar to Windows’ Continuum).
Pre-booking for the phone has already started with the device set to hit the US market on 15 September.
