Reliance Jio and Uber have announced a digital partnership in India, giving the cab-aggregator access to various digital services of Reliance Jio, including Jio Money. Uber consumers using Jio Money will get exclusive incentives for Uber rides.
As part of the partnership, Jio and Uber will work together and explore various opportunities to progressively enrich and enhance the Digital Life experience of their users through complementary programmes.
JioMoney users will soon be able to request and pay for Uber rides from the JioMoney app itself.

JioMoney could definitely use some push from day-to-day entities, and nothing is as big as Uber in today's world. Unlike Ola which has Ola Money, Uber has relied on Paytm, cash and debit card mode for ride payments till now.
But with JioMoney, Uber riders will get special offers, giving it precedence over other payment options available.
The Ola and Uber rivalry could reach the digital arena, where Ola announced Ola Play, the in-car digital content streaming services. Ola Play is currently available in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi and is expected to be extended to more than 50,000 Ola Prime vehicles by March in 2017.
Users can listen to music or watch videos from popular titles, something that Uber couldn't match. But with the Jio partnership, Uber can compete with Ola Pay via Jio Music and Jio Cinema platforms.
