As expected, Reliance Jio has shared an update for its Jio Prime members, whose subscription was coming to an end on 31 March. The telco will allow its existing Prime members to extend their membership for one more year, without paying anything for it.
That’s not all, non-Prime members can apply for its membership for annual fee of Rs 99, unchanged from last year. Jio Prime has worked wonders for Reliance Jio, who claim they have over 175 million paid users on the network now.
The free of cost extension for Prime members is a limited period offer and here’s how you can do that right away.
Jio has made tall claims about its offering for Prime members, who are getting plenty of benefits for a nominal annual fee of Rs 99. The Prime members are said to be getting 20 to 50 percent more value than other customers.
Truth be told, most industry experts felt that Jio will increase the fees for Prime membership. Not many saw Jio offering the membership extension for free, not us at least.
Basically stating why everyone should opt for this membership, and we can’t argue with the offers that get rolled out every now and then.
The feature is yet to reach all Prime members, but with the deadline of 31 March not too far away, expect your notification to beep anytime now.
Reliance Jio has been on a buying spree lately, and the big headline maker was its apparent buyout of Saavn, which will be integrated into JioMusic.
Jio Prime was first announced during the commercial launch of Jio’s services in the country by Mukesh Ambani. With content streaming gaining rapid traction, data prices being the most affordable we’ve ever seen, Jio is prepping take its position across the country.
