Makers of the Polaroid instant cameras have launched a series of action cameras in the country called the Cube, priced at Rs 9,990. The all-weather shockproof cameras are a big rage with adventure freaks these days and Polaroid is looking to give the consumers more options to choose from.
The moment you think of Polaroid, you’re instantly transported back to the good old days of film cameras. But things have become more convenient and Polaroid is looking to compete in the market with HTC and Xiaomi among others.
Polaroid’s action camera has been named the Cube for a relatively obvious reason – the shape of the device. In addition to its miniature size, it’s ridiculously light at 9 grams. But it ensures that you can capture memories in full-HD resolution without any trouble. Also, you don’t have to worry about running out of space to store content thanks to the inclusion of a microSD slot which can expand storage up to 32GB.
The Cube’s got a battery life which promises to last you for a 90-minute video recording at 1080p resolution, which is decent for this price point. The Cube can be used in all conditions.
It’s ideal for those looking for a small video camera that can fit into a pocket.
But that’s not all. The Polaroid Cube+ version of the action camera with built-in Wi-Fi support will be available in December. The beauty of this camera is that you can transfer videos to your phone via an app much like what we saw with the HTC RE action camera with spherical lens.
And if you’re looking to print pictures, then Polaroid has the Zip Printer that puts the printed image in your hand in less than a minute. The company claims Zip can print up to 25 images (2”x3” sized) on a single charge and costs Rs 12,350.
All these products can be bought on Flipkart in India.
