Paytm Payments Bank Launches Separate Mobile App

The app will enable customers to check balance, request for debit cards, access digital debit cards and get support.

Paytm Payments Bank has launched its own separate mobile application for its banking services.

Paytm Payments Bank, in a note said that the app will enable customers to check balance, request for debit cards, access their digital debit cards and get 24/7 support from the bank.

The Payments bank was launched by the Fin-tech giant in 2017 and has enrolled about 43 million savings customers and issued over 2 million physical debit cards. Paytm Payments Bank has also given a virtual debit card to all the 43 million savings customers.

Payments Bank debit card allows customers to enable or disable the card by just a single click in the app for added security.

Satish Kumar Gupta, the CEO of Payments Bank said that “the purpose of the new app is to segregate its operations from the existing Paytm app. He also clarified that the bank will still function from the Paytm app as well, which means both apps will co-exist”.
