Cheer up OnePlus 3 and 3T users, you won’t be deprived of the upcoming Android 8.0, which will be rolling out by end of this year. A OnePlus executive has confirmed this development, via its recently conducted Reddit AMA session.
The company might have left existing OnePlus 2 users high and dry by backtracking on its software support/future upgrade for the device, but thankfully, that won’t be the case with OnePlus 3 and 3T.
It’s interesting to see that OnePlus has already pushed out multiple software OTA updates for the recently launched OnePlus 5 (to fix issues with the phone), while the OnePlus 3 and 3T phones are yet to get upgraded to Oxygen 4.5.3 version.

Android 8.0 (most likely to be called Oatmeal Cookie) will make its bow on the Google Pixel 2 range of phones this year, after which Google’s partner devices from Samsung, Asus, HTC to OnePlus, will push their own versions of Android user interface.
OnePlus had previously made similar claims for OnePlus 2, so this time we’ll let the company walk the talk. Hopefully, they won’t disappoint OP3 and Op 3T users this year.
