What started as a dream come true in just Rs 251, seems shattered. The cloud of controversies surrounding Ringing Bells, the makers of Freedom 251 is getting thicker every day.

After accusation, name calling, customer refunds the company’s problems seem to be compounding. The latest victim is the landlord of the company’s office premises.

The owner of B-44, B Block Rd, Sector 63, Noida, Rajiv Narula has asked the company to vacate the office.

The building stands on an industrial plot and Noida authority officials have said the office was running illegally, as the building owner did not obtain the mandatory permission required to use the premises for purposes other than industrial use.

According to the company spokesperson, Ringing Bells is not involved in the dispute between the landlord and Noida Authority. Keeping this in mind Ringing Bells is now looking to shift its office from Sector 63. The company is expected to share an official statement later on Thursday.

Ringing Bells has been vehemently denying that they are pulling off some kind of a scam and still remains adamant that they will be delivering Freedom 251 phones.

A recent ED enquiry also reveals that the company does not have concrete business plans to make the cheapest phone in the world.
