Not even a week has passed since the new Nokia 3310 hit the shelves in the Indian market, and yet, the competition has rushed in snapping at its heels. What is being considered as the best offering in the feature phone segment, the Nokia 3310 is now competing with itself — or should we say with its ‘judwa’.

Chinese company Darago, which has its base in Shenzhen, has a device in direct competition with the Nokia 3310, dubbed the Darago 3310. The Darago 3310 has been priced very smartly at Rs 799, as opposed to the Nokia 3310 at Rs 3,310. The phone is available online on Flipkart, although, it is currently out of stock.
Micromax also has a similar offering that people are talking about. Although, this isn’t a new device that the India smartphone maker has launched. But thanks to the recent surge in the requirement of feature phones, the Micromax X1i is now a hot-selling property at Rs 1,399. The phone is available online on amazon.
Micromax and Darago have Nokia to thank for their popularity. The sudden rage for feature phones came about after the announcement of the Nokia 3310 hitting Indian shores. Looks like other feature phone makers, who have cheaper substitutes, are reaping the rewards of Nokia’s advertising campaigns.
