There has been a lot of confusion around the mode of sale of OnePlus 5 in India when it launches on 22 June.
We already know that the phone will be exclusively available on Amazon, but there have been rumours indicating that buyers will have to queue in with an invite to buy their 2017 flagship.
However, you’ll be pleased to know that the OnePlus 5 will be sold in India invite-free, just like the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T was available in the country. The company’s official Twitter handle has made this point loud and clear.
This is what the tweet confirms about the availability of the OnePlus 5 in India.
The rumours ignited when the company highlighted that all event attendees will be getting invites to buy the OnePlus 5. The phone will be available on Amazon from 4:30 PM on the launch date.
Contrary to what OnePlus had announced last month, it won’t be the first phone to sell in the country with Snapdragon 835 – that laurel belongs to Sony now. But we do know that the phone will indeed feature dual cameras at the back, and is likely to be the slimmest OnePlus product till date.
