WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature which will ensure that users do not send images to a wrong contact.

The latest WhatsApp beta update shows that the users will be able to see the name of person who’ll be getting the image right below the caption, to make sure that the image is being sent to the right contact.

According to WABetainfo which tracks all news about upcoming Android updates, users who want to test out this feature will need to have the 2.19.173 version of the app installed on their phones.

Reports suggest that the feature will be available for the images shared on both individual contacts as well as groups. This will also help double check on the name of the group you have sent the image to.

Since the feature is already working on the beta version it is a possibility that the stable version of the app will receive the update soon. There is no news whether WhatsApp will be offering this feature to iOS users.

Apart from this, the latest 2.18.301 beta update on WhatsApp has also added Picture in Picture feature to the app. This will allow users to watch videos hosted on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Streamable on the home screen of your mobile device.

The initial version of the feature did not allow users to switch chat without closing the video however WhatsApp has been working on a fix for that. So with the final version, you'll be able to watch videos with WhatsApp in the background.
