The wait for the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G variant is over.
The 4G version of this budget smartphone is now available for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs 7,999. Moto E 4G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1GB RAM.
Motorola had earlier brought only the 3G version to India, making it a less competitive device against the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
The major short coming of the Moto E (2nd Gen) that was launched earlier, was the lack of 4G support, that was present in the Xiaomi Redmi 2 . Moto E 4G will support 4G LTE, band 3 and band 10 in India.
Apart from 4G compatibility and the processors, the rest of the specifications are similar to the Moto E 3G version.
Both have a 4.5-inch qHD display, 8GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear camera and a 0.3MP selfie camera.
Moto E 4G costs Rs.1000 more than its closest competitors – the Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000.
But what makes the Moto E 4G special is the stock android experience.
Flipkart has bundled a few offers with the pre-order of the Moto E 4G as well.
