Lenovo Moto just expanded their portfolio of smartphones in the Indian market with yet another Z series device called the Moto Z2 Play. The phone has been launched in the Indian market for a price tag of Rs 27,999 and is exclusively available online. The Z2 Play also brings with it the modular design we saw on the earlier Moto Z series and this could be the biggest USP of this phone.
The new Moto Z2 Play comes with an improved much sleeker design philosophy. The phone is 5.8 mm thick and sports a metal design with premium aluminium finish on the edges. It comes with a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display that is vibrant. Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 626 process coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants.
Storage wise the device comes in 32GB and 64GB variants. For the ones wanting extra space there is an option to expand up to 256GB via microSD card. The camera quality of the Z2 Play has been bumped up well. The rear camera stands at 12-megapixels with phase detection and laser autofocus and f/1.7 aperture, meaning better low light photography. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera with dual-tone LED flash.
Battery back-up on the Z2 Play looks decent enough thanks to a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery that comes with fast charging technology.
