Microsoft is geared up to compete with Google Now and Siri in India with its voice-assistant feature called Cortana. With the help of Cortana, users can make voice-centric commands to their Windows PCs running on Windows 10 operating system.
According to Microsoft, Cortana has been customised to suit Indian users and allow your PCs to accept an Indian accent.
Cortana is the biggest bet that Microsoft has ever made in the software domain. It may take some time before Cortana truly becomes popular, but it’s good to see that Microsoft is taking its solution to other platforms like Android and iOS.
In addition to the introduction of Cortana in the country, Microsoft has also dished out the feature on Maps that offers alternate traffic routes, marks your vehicle’s parking spot etc.
Windows 10 is being offered to all Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users for free, across the globe as Microsoft looks to fix its last Windows iteration.
