Microsoft has officially confirmed that their Digital Assistant— Cortana will be available on iOS and Android. Microsoft plans to release separate apps for both the mobile operating system.

This will enable its digital assistant to run on other platforms apart from Windows. Microsoft Cortana is a rival to Apple’s Siri, digital assistant.

The company says that you’ll be able to make the same queries and ask the same questions using Cortana across Windows, iOS, or Android.

The Cortana on iOS or Android won’t get all the features that one can access on a Windows device.

The Cortana cross-platform is a part of Microsoft’s phone companion experience, that will bring services and features from Windows 10 to all smartphones.

Microsoft’s phone companion will help Windows 10 owners find apps on their Android or iOS phones along with Windows devices to make use of Microsoft services for smartphones.
