After foraying in the handsets, tablets and television sets market with its budget technological offering, Micromax Informatics Limited, today launched the new Micromax Canvas Laptab- a Windows tablet PC which turns into a laptop when attached to a keyboard dock.

Powered by Intel Atom Processor Z3735F and pre-bundled with Windows 8.1,the device features high definition touch enabled display, in-built 3G SIM slot for mobile data connectivity and an on-board memory chip for storage. The device comes with a 2MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera for video calling.

This launch is a major milestone for the company as it sets its foot in the tablet PC market. The strategic launch partnership with the e-retailer Amazon further drives accessibility, as consumers will be able to purchase the device online, regardless of their location.

The Laptab comes pre-bundled with Windows 8.1 and Office 365, providing consumers with amazing value for money for the entire product package. Also the device facilitates smart search, optimized battery usage, customization, improved application performance, refreshed notification system and will have a confirmed free upgrade to Windows 10 when available.
