Micromax Informatics Limited, India announced the launch of the biggest smartphone ever – the Canvas Fantabulet.

The Canvas Fantabulet boasts of a 6.98-inch HD IPS screen with a 1280x720 pixels resolution, along with Dual box speakers with DTS Sound Technology.

This is the biggest smartphone in the market now. With a phone measuring almost 7-inches it falls in the tablet category but the company is bold enough to still call it a smartphone.

Micromax claims that the Canvas Fantabulet fits perfectly in your palm and is ideal for single-handed operation.

We highly doubt that claim.

The phone also comes with a 3000mAh battery, but given the size of the thing we were expecting at least a 5000 mAh battery. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.0, has an 8-megapixel Auto Focus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera for taking selfies.

For a phone like this it needed a powerful processor and loads of RAM, but Micromax has put in a 1.3 Ghz Quad-core processor on it that is backed by 1GB RAM.

The new Canvas Fantabulet is perfectly priced at Rs. 7499, which in a way justifies the cuts thay have made on the specifications of this massive phone.

It will be available in Chrome Gold colour pan India through an e-commerce platform.
