Those of you who keep losing stuff like your phone, or forget keys, this Bengaluru-based startup may finally let you breath a sigh of relief. They have created a tiny wireless device that can be attached to valuables like keys and wallets and users can track these with their smartphones.
It’s called the Yoky tag, and for Rs 999 this device is accessible to a range up to 150-feet and works on smartphones with Bluetooth 4+ and iOS 8+ or Android 4.3+ versions.
Yoky tag has a built-in 32-bit ARM cortex SoC (system on chip) and a 500mAh replaceable battery. The best part is you don’t need to charge it, ever.
The Yoky tag works by maintaining a wireless link with the smartphone, using Bluetooth Low-Energy feature.
When the link is active, users can find the phone or tag and when the link breaks, the phone and the tag will raise an alert.
The device will beep loudly if users are about to leave their phone behind. The phone will also alert them if they are leaving behind the item tagged with Yoky.
The device also acts as a fitness tracker and measures steps, estimated distance and calories. The app is available for free and can connect to up to eight tags at any time.
