We thought that LG would get its flagship smartphone G5 to India but the Korean company wants to test waters in India with its new affordable range of K Series of 4G LTE devices.
The company has officially launched the K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphone at Rs 9,500 and Rs 13,500 respectively.
Both devices come with entry-level specifications and will compete with the likes of Lenovo K4 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco 1S and the Moto G.
Here’s what they are offering.
The LG K7 LTE sports a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by the Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz.
The processor is backed by 1GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a MicroSD card.
There are two 5 megapixel cameras on the phone one each for the front and the back. Its a dual SIM smartphone that is 4G LTE compatible. The phone comes with a removable 2,300mAh battery and is priced at Rs 9,500.
The LG K10 LTE at Rs 13,500 comes with slightly better specs as compared to the K7 LTE. It sports a 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The phone comes packed with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and a MicroSD card slot.
It also comes loaded with a better 13-megapixel rear camera and a similar 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. The LG K10 LTE is powered by a 2,300mAh removable battery.
Both devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with LG’s UI bloatware on top of it.
