Karbonn Mobiles has launched two low-cost, virtual reality glasses-equipped smartphones in the Indian market.
Karbonn Quattro L52 smartphone with a VR device is priced at Rs 8,790, and the Karbonn Mach Six is priced at Rs 7490. The company claims that both these VR-supported devices will give Samsung’s Gear VR a run for its money.
Both VR sets are fitted with bi-convex lenses and offer pre-loaded games and video content for users to get into the true VR world. The company also claims that users can create their own VR videos using the pre-embedded VR app.
Karbonn Quattro L52 4G LTE gets an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front camera. It comes with 2GB RAM+16GB ROM 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone is sized at 5-inch and offers full-HD resolution.
The Karbonn Mach Six, meanwhile, has a huge 6.9-inch HD display with 2GB RAM offering 16GB storage, quad-core processor and a 3300 mAh battery.
According to a recent report, the global VR market is expected to touch an estimated $120 billion by 2020 and India, with its huge smartphone base, is set to become the largest VR market.
