Homegrown tech company Intex launches becomes the first Indian company to launch a wearable device that runs on Android.
The company launched a smartwatch called IRist at Mobile World Congress 2015, Shanghai.
IRist will be available in India from the first week of August 2015 exclusively on eBay, and will be priced at Rs 11,999.
IRist supports 3G SIM and standalone calling feature and packs in a 5 megapixel camera along with a 32GB of expandable memory.
The IRist comes loaded with a 600 mAh battery and 512 MB RAM. Intex’s smartwatch is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor that runs on an Android OS, Kitkat 4.4.2 operating system.

The smart watch also comes with a sturdy 1.56 inch scratch free Sapphire glass with 240x240 resolution that reproduces 16million colours.
The IRist comes in three stunningly designed color variants of Black, Pink and Orange. The IRist cometes with the likes of Moto 360 and the Apple Watch in the Indian market and is water and dust resistant.
