This year’s Mobile World Congress saw its fair share of smartphones from the likes of Samsung, LG, Xiaomi and Sony. However, the event was not just about smartphones. Virtual reality and 360-degree cameras garnered a fair amount of interest. Take a look at what’s heading your way this year.
This camera looks like an eyeball and as per Samsung is capable of shooting 360-degree videos. The Gear 360 comprises of two 15-megapixel sensors, wrapped over a fisheye lens.
Gear 360 from Samsung gets a 0.5-inch display. The camera can either be handheld or placed on the surface with a mini-tripod for stable video shooting.
Samsung claims that the Gear 360 can capture 3,840 x 1,920 pixels video at 30 frames per second.
The LG 360 Cam can also take 360-degree photos and videos but it does not have a spherical shape.
The camera has two 13-megapixel cameras and each of them can shoot 200-degree field of view, as per LG. It’s got 4GB of storage which is further expandable via microSD. The 360 Cam is loaded with a 1,200 mAh battery.
With LG 360 Cam you can shoot videos in 2K. The camera also gives you 5.1 surround channel recording using three microphones for high-quality audio output.
This is Nokia’s version of the 360-degree camera that is priced at a whopping $60,000.
Ozo packs 2K x 2K camera sensors, which records onto a 500GB solid state drive that can hold up to 45 minutes of footage. Ozo is mainly eyeing professional videographers who’re looking to take the VR plunge.
