Honda Cars India launched their much awaited premium hatchback in India –the Jazz. The dealers have already begun to take bookings and over 2000 bookings have already been made in India. Prices start at Rs 5,30,900 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) for the petrol and Rs 6,49,900 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) for the diesel variant.
The 3rd Generation Honda Jazz will feature a fuel efficient 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine along with the potent 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine.
The front of the hatchback looks similar to the existing Honda City and the car has a lot of chrome linings.
The 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine on the new Jazz gives an output of 100PS and torque of 200Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The petrol model has a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that churns out 90 PS power with 110 Nm of peak torque. The petrol version offers a choice of a 5-speed manual and an automatic CVT transmission.
