Infamously known as ‘the phone that blew up’, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is all set to make a comeback with ‘anti-boom certification’ (just kidding). Basically, all the Note 7 devices that Samsung has recalled after their faulty battery fiasco have been refurbished and will be sold starting with South Korea from 7 July.

Dubbed the Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition (FE), no changes have been made to the design of the smartphone. The only change implemented is the battery capacity, which has been brought down to 3200mAh from the previous 3500mAh. Also, the Samsung logo has disappeared from under the earpiece, and a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition logo is on the back.
Samsung has said that 30 percent fewer units of the new Note 7 Fan Edition will be sold compared to the original Note 7. The primary objective seems to be clearing the inventory and moreover catering to the ones who suffered from the withdrawal. Also they wouldn’t want the Note 7 (FE) to steal the limelight before the upcoming new Note 8.
The Galaxy Note 7 (FE) features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440x2560 resolution. It comes with a second tier Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB RAM along with 64GB storage.
It comes with an iris scanner, and the device sports an IP68 certification rating. The stylus or the S Pen is included in the package. The Note 7 was launched at a starting price of Rs 59,990 in India.
