The Huawei’s Nexus 6P is the successor to the earlier Motorola’s Nexus 6 which was not received well by Android fans.

The Nexus 6P shows a lot of promise. The build quality of the phone is so much better than what Motorola offered with the Nexus 6 last year. Huawei has used aircraft grade metal to make the exoskeleton of this smartphone.

Things like this can justify a price tag of Rs 38,999 (32GB) and Rs 42,999 (64GB). The phone will be offered both through online and offline retail channels from October 21, and is bundled with a lot of offers for the festive season.

The display on offer on the Nexus 6P is a 5.7-inch WQHD IPS Display that is big and bright but not as wide as its predecessor’s. The colour reproduction is pretty amazing and it has it all to be a premium smartphone.

At the back, the phone comes with a fingerprint sensor and the camera module. The camera module has a little bump to it; this may be so that the metal does not wear off from the phone.

The Nexus 6P supports a 12.3-megapixel camera with 1.55-micron pixels and a dual tone flash. The camera looks pretty impressive and image results also look beautiful on that big bright display.

For selfies, the phone has an 8-megapixel camera that is more than what you need for selfies on the go. The phone is also capable of shooting slow motion videos in 120fps and 240fps along with 4K video recording.

The Huawei Google Nexus 6P is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core 1.8GHz Cortex-A57 and backed by 3GB RAM. We cannot comment on the performance of the phone right now, but it was getting warmer as we were playing with it.

Like the Nexus 5X, this will also run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Google has made sure that there are less number of pre-loaded apps on the phone to give you a completely clean android experience.

Just like the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P also supports USB type-C and 4G LTE. Google has tweaked the software for that 3450 mAh battery to last 30% longer.

Overall, the Nexus 6P looks better and handles better than its predecessor, the Nexus 6. The phone is also sweetly priced. Pitted against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9+, this phone has the capacity to beat them all.
