During the first meeting of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, US President Donald Trump, had another slip of tongue. This time, while referring to the CEO of Apple Inc, Tim Cook. President Trump called him “Tim Apple.”
At first, it seemed like the president was saying something else and might have been misheard however, on going through the clip again, Trump can be heard saying:
Embracing the new name, the Apple CEO added an ‘apple’ emoticon after his first name on Twitter.
Donald Trump is known for mistaking one thing for another. The Verge reported that he had earlier called the CEO of Lockheed Martin Marillyn Hewson, “Marillyn Lockheed” – the same goof-up as “Tim Apple.”
People online also had fun with the US President’s mistake. Twitter went on a rampage, with people going berserk, mostly naming CEOs of tech giants with the name of their companies.
Names like ‘Jeff Amazon,’ ‘Elon Tesla,’ ‘Bill Microsoft,’ and ‘Mark Facebook’ started doing the rounds.
People also mocked Trump for identifying Tim Cook with his ‘actual identity.’
