Google Play Games is an app that shows you your achievements in your games in your Android device, built as an answer to iOS’s Game Center, which has now been removed from the latest version of iOS.
Play Games still continues to be shipped with every version of Android. If you explore the app a little, you will find that Play Games offers a few of its own built-in games to play.
Play Games feature five games by default which are Minesweeper, Snake, Solitare, Pac- Man and Cricket. These games can be played offline. They come as part of Google’s suite of apps built into Android phones that run stock Android. In phones that run custom user-interfaces such as Xiaomi or Oppo devices, it is an app that has to be downloaded.
All the classic games are given some unique twists by adding design elements. For instance, Pac-Man has a layout made out of a Google logo. The provision of these games can be good way to kill time offline for those who are not interested in the mobile gaming space or don’t want to use mobile data on gaming.
Here’s a look at all the games from the Play Games app.
