Apple WWDC 2019 kicked off with company CEO Tim Cook beginning the keynote for media and developers on Monday.
As expected, the Cupertino-based giant has revealed a host of new features, software upgrades for its devices and even a new hardware for production-class performance.
Here’s a look at everything that Apple announced at WWDC 2019 keynote.
Apple is expected to talk shop for developers at the WWDC 2019, with iOS finally about to adopt dark mode for iPhone and iPad users. MacOS will be the other platform to see some updates, and finally you’ve got the Watch OS, which is expected to finally get its own app store for the wearable device.
Tim Cook and Co. will be on the stage to take us through everything in less than one hour.
Reports coming in few minutes back suggest, Apple has decided that its iPad needs a different software platform, because of which one can expect to see the debut of iPadOS at the WWDC 2019 keynote, which is going to kick start in less than 10 minutes from now.

With multi-user support every user will be able to see their personal customised interface on Apple TV.

So Apple Watch OS is getting a slew of new updates and to talk more about it, Kevin Lynch, Chief Technology Officer, Apple is on stage.
More watch faces comes to the new OS. There are dynamic watch faces which change with according to time of the day.
So the Apple Watch OS now gets a calculator and you’ll be able to split bills. It’s also going to support voice messages.
Developers can create standalone apps for the Watch OS and it won’t need the iOS ecosystem support anymore.
The App store comes to Watch OS. This means you’ll be able to browse and install apps directly on the Watch.
There’s a bunch of new health features for its users. Apparently, there is now a tracking app for menstrual cycles. The features will also be available on iOS to use on the iPhone.
Tim says 85 percent of the users are on the latest version of iOS. Tim’s taking a dig at the ‘other guys’ (possibly Android) saying they only have an adoption rate of 10 percent which is likely to be true.
So iOS 13 is going to be faster, lighter and better in every way says Craig. App speed launch 60 percent faster, Face ID is 30 percent faster and app sizes are 50 percent smaller. Helps you save the storage space on the iPhone.
Dark Mode is here on iOS 13. Most of the interface has adapted to the dark theme. Even apps and other aspects of the interface.
Look around is something like Apple’s Street View, which is coming to Maps. You can navigate smoothly, moving down the streets to virtually visit stores and places.
Apple is shutting the door on most apps which abuse navigation. Now you’ll just have to restrict location to apps only once.
Apple is launching “Sign-in with Apple” feature which users will be able to use to access apps safely using Apple’s authentication modes like Apple ID or Face ID.
Apple is also decrypting email ID which will not let other apps have access to your email IDs. This is how your email ID will look to other apps.
Apple will also release an advanced security system for home called HomeKit Secure Cam which is a surveillance system. This will be running on Apple devices like iPad and Macs at home and connected to Apple Cloud to analyse security footage and alert users.
The data will be sent to Apple’s Cloud to analyse as well, which no one will be able to see. Not even apple.
iOS 13 will allow you to use all the image filters and editing tools on videos. You will now also be able to rotate videos on the new iOS 13.
Portrait Lighting updated and now can move virtual lights. You can change the intensity of the lighting allowing you to adjust your portrait in a lot of ways. Fascinating.
Machine learning is set to make changes to the Photos app which will help remove duplicates when you're browsing, and it'll also create a "diary" of your life.
Photos now displays individual days with autoplaying video clips.
AirPods will be able to help you respond to text messages using audio to text feature. AirPods will support live radio with over 100,000+ radio stations to listen to.
AirPods now share audio with a just a tap. So, do we need AirPods for this feature to work?
Shortcuts app now built into iOS 13 which will also have a new suggested personalisations, giving ideas for automated things like things to do when you’re at home cooking.
iPad Os shows a tighter gird of icons, widgets can be pinned on the home screen. You cab slide apps to the right side of the screen to convert it into a split window format.
You can also transition between apps by sliding. iPad OS also supports split window. The new iPad Os is all about dragging and dropping. It looks intuitive and very ways to use.
You will now be able to insert pen drives, thumb drives and other external devices into the iPad for simple connect and share/transfer of files.
iPadOS will also feature the desktop view display and will also get a download manager. I am back in 1000 B.C.
To copy-paste texts, you’ll have to use three-finger gestures. No more magnifications and irritating cursors.
The new Mac Pro unveiled at the event. It’s a completely new design and looks refreshing!
The new Mac Pro is the most power Mac till date which has 300 watts of power, 28 cores and Intel Xeon processor at the helm of it all.
It comes with 1.5 TB of system memory. The Mac Pro also adds PCI expansion. 4 double-Y slots and 3 USB a-Pots, 2 built-in 10GB ethernet ports.
It also comes with 128GB of RAM and wiill support for Radeon Pro 580X, Vega II graphics cards and you can even put two Vega II cards together.
Apple has created a card called Afterburner which can process 6 billion pixels per second. It will also be able to stream 3 simultaneously stream of 8K quality. The new Mac Pro will offer real-time full-resolution video for editing with a power input of a whopping 1.4kW power supply.
The Mac Pro display is a 32-inch 6K Retina Display which pumps out 20 million pixels. It also has reference modes built into it. the display can maintain 1000 nits of light consistently.
It supports 1,000,000:1 contrast rations and offers something Apple is calling Pro Display XDR (Extreme Dynamic Range), which is an upgrade over HDR.
You can rotate the display to get a portrait mode and display can be detached from the stand as well. The company is calling it "The World's Best Pro Display."
The Mac Pro and the display will both be $4,999 each. That’s almost 10 lakh rupees.
iTunes is on its way out! It has been divided into Apple Music, Podcast and Apple TV.
You will now be able to use your iPad as a second display for your Mac. It works both wirelessly and with wires. The feature is called Sidecar. Apple Pencil will be supported wirelessly.
Mac OS has a new voice control feature which will allow you to control a Mac entirely with your voice.
FindMy feature on the Mac OS is a combo device-finding Mac/IOS app. You will be able to find devices even when they are off via Bluetooth beacon! This feature will be encrypted and anonymous.
Screen Time is also coming to Mac OS Catalina.
Now developers will be able to use existing iPad apps and make it compatible to run on Mac OS as well. this is possible via Project Catalyst.
All the APIs and operating system will be available in their beta phase starting today and will start seeding out starting July this year.
