There’s a lot expected at this year’s Apple developers’ conference, especially on the software front with the introduction of iOS 12. Apple has faced a lot of flack over the past few months due to the inconsistencies and problems that surfaced in iOS 11. iOS 12 is expected to address these problems.
More on the OS front could see Apple roll out upgrades for the WatchOS and also MacOS. There were rumours going around that Apple will release a “Dark Mode” for MacOS
Also, there are speculations that many of the iPhone apps will be made compatible for the Macbook and the desktop ecosystem. There is also talk of Apple introducing a service which looks after the “Digital Health” of the user – something that Google has already embarked on with its “Dashboard” service.
The tech fraternity and Apple themselves have been very hush-hush about any hardware announcements at the event, but knowing Tim Cook, he could have “one more thing” to speak about before the curtains drop.

Apple gives Siri the power to help you find keys (no, really). With this feature called Shortcuts, and it'll be able to do multiple things with the help of voice. You can place order via Siri and some more stuff
The new Shortcuts app, you will get suggestions right on your lock screen. If you do something regularly, the suggestion will appear on your lock scream. With the help of Siri, it will suggest you things on the basis of your daily activities you perform on your phone.
Apple's sharing suggestion photos is like Google Photos assistant's smart photos. You can send images to suggestive contacts from iMessage and pick the photos from your iCloud account
As a part of their improved AR in iOS 12, Apple introduced a new app called Measure. The app uses AR and the camera to take measurement of things, The app is also able to identify shapes using AR.
AR Kit 2 is going to see a few improvements. Something that developers is looking forward to.
Craig talks about how one can use the measure app to use AR to measure objects using the camera. I think I have already seen plenty of apps like this in the Android platform.
Craig announces that in order to pick up its pace in the AR space, Apple is creating a file format, specifically designed for the platform.

Adobe announced that it will support Apple’s URDC file format which will be compatible with Adobe’s creative cloud platform.
