Apple may release a new low-cost Mac laptop and an upgrade to the Mac Mini desktop later this year, Bloomberg reported. The new laptop and desktop may be Apple's move to end the diminishing sales of Apple's computers.
According to the Bloomberg report, the new MacBook will look similar to the MacBook Air. It will probably retain the 13-inch screen and will have thinner bezels. The new MacBook might also have a top-end variant that will house a higher-resolution retina display, Bloomberg said quoting sources.
This update comes after the MacBook Air was given a processor update last year.
Apple is also said to be working on an upgraded Mac Mini desktop, its desktop unit that comes without a screen, keyboard or a mouse. According to the Bloomberg report, Apple is focusing on professional users and is planning new storage and processor options which might also make the Mac Mini more expensive.
